Back in 2022 when the world was still half way in the grips of Covid, Mantra had asked me to make this cover for the new release of Response and Pliskin on the Rupture London imprint. 

Both tracks have an incredible entrancing sound that build upon each other and which never quite settles nor releases.  It's restless and uneasy, yet somehow has a warm vibe to it. 

Mantra was a fan of my posters for my Jungletrain show that heavily feature standard model heads in several mangled positions in strange (un)natural environments, rendered in weird materials which have interesting and easthetically pleasing light reflections and refractions. 

These heads in themselves for me have always been a reference to what people call other people who are so deep into the sound of jungle/ dnb (or really any music genre stan) that they are also being called "heads". 

Anyways, due to the somewhat darker quality of the tunes I went a bit darker in my design and after some back and forth we settled on this design.
